As we start a New Year we know that one thing is for certain – the world of perimeter security never stands still! Last year was a positive whirlwind of activity for us with increased demand for our products in many countries including the United States plus an expansion of our international installer network and more requests for customer and engineer training.
The scale of usage for outdoor security systems is vast and there is probably at least one application under every letter of the alphabet. Here in our Head Office in Stirling we sat down recently and just picked a letter at random to see what came to mind – the letter ‘P’:
- petrochemical processing
- power generation plants
- pharmaceutical sites
- police compounds
Moreover, these are not just examples of uses for perimeter systems – we have actually supplied solutions for each one listed. From time to time we publish case studies that tell the story of how we catered for a particular application and here is a good example that comes under the letter ‘P’ – our solutions for prison perimeter security page.

Perimeter Security Systems Choices
Whether your sector is Industrial, Commercial, Public Sector or Civil & Tourism, we are likely to have covered whatever you are looking. However, should your particular application not be listed, just let us know and we will be happy to explain just how we can help fulfil your security system requirements. After all, we are one of the very few international suppliers who is a perimeter security manufacturer, not just a dealer. So, if we don’t have an established security system to suit your needs, we have the in-house expertise and experience to build you a bespoke system.
In support of our belief that 2015 will see an increased demand in our sector we found some independent statistics in a recent news report. The report projected exponential growth particularly in the North American market for perimeter security systems suggesting it might well increase from $4.26 billion in 2014 to $5.17 billion over the next 5 years to 2019. A variety of reasons appear to be behind this projection, in particular stricter government regulations and terrorism threats. Amongst the buildings the report said might be included are all 7 of the ones in our list above plus of course military bases and embassies. Looks like another busy year.
