One of the biggest factors in the increased demand for our Microguard™ microwave security system is the broad spectrum of applications that it can be used for. It is a premium product of choice for open space detection with the added bonus that the system can also be configured to act as a long range perimeter alarm. (Recent special feature here)
As a result, we are finding increasing numbers of large scale, industrial and manufacturing sites coming to us for Microguard™. A good example of this is a recent order for our microwave sensors which was shipped to India for installation at a large steel production plant.
The global demand for crude steel is expected to amount to circa 1.65 billion metric tons in 2015 and India, one of the fastest expanding economies, is currently the world’s 4th largest producer of crude steel (83.2 mt in 2014). To safeguard such valuable infrastructure, steel plant operators feel obliged to install not just the best but the most suitable perimeter detection system possible.
India Steel Plant Security Order
Our long-standing security systems installer in India who has first hand technical knowledge of all our security systems and who went through our in-house Technical Training course here at our UK Head Office, played a pivotal role in the negotiations and supply. This allowed us as manufacturers to focus on ensuring that the client’s detailed technical requirements were quoted for in the best possible way with customisation as/where appropriate.
