If you are looking for integrated security systems, look no further. We have over 30 years of experience in perimeter security systems including design and manufacture of our own security products, some of which carry British Government approvals. We have supplied security solutions for a wide range of industrial and commercial sites as well as military bases and prisons.
What makes an effective Integrated Security System?
Building an effective integrated security system for an outdoor site requires in-depth analysis and discussion. Various factors must be considered including the size and number of site zones and the level of security required. It might be that a single layer security system is sufficient – eg. perimeter fence detection system combined with CCTV.
For high security sites such as prisons, a multi-layer security solution is often the choice. Different security systems (cable detection, electric fencing and microwave sensors) are installed along with CCTV and all monitoring conducted from a single security management system.
One of the most common enquiries we receive is from sites where CCTV monitoring already exists but extra security is required to create a definitive integrated security solution. This is where we can really help. All of our products are designed to work either on their own or in combination and can be integrated into an existing CCTV system.
Advanced Perimeter Systems can offer the following for inclusion in an integrated security system:
Electro-Fence™ (electric security fence)
Flexiguard™ (perimeter detection)
Microguard™ (microwave intrusion detection for sterile area / dog run – see photo left)
Multisys™ (security management system for control of alarm devices)

Integrated Security Systems Development
It was in the 1970’s that we first saw the introduction of Closed-Circuit Television. This quickly became the security product of choice for many outdoor sites. One of our Technical Director’s early security assignments was to provide security monitoring of a horse’s stable! It was of course no ordinary stable – it belonged to the legendary Red Rum whose record remains unmatched in steeplechasing history. Andy was also involved in the design and installation of the first ever CCTV system at a British football ground (for Leeds United F.C.). As the 1980’s saw a global increase in industrialisation and manufacturing activity, there was a rise in crime figures so it was clear that additional and new security systems were needed. Thus the integrated security system was born.
