Recently it was more like the middle of winter for many US citizens and we saw some of the coldest temperatures on record for all but 5 States. Residents in Burlington, Colorado were blasted by an icy -10 which was a new November record for them. You can get the more detailed statistics here showing all the regions affected by this recent Arctic surge.
Here in the UK it was a different story but alas, it was not long before all that changed! Snow and ice blanketed many parts of the UK recently, especially Scotland which is home to our perimeter security manufacturing base and Head Office.
Business, however, continues as usual for us because the perimeter fencing at our premises is protected by our own security products which have been developed and tested to withstand extreme temperature ranges (both high and low). Here is a photograph of a section of fencing that perfectly demonstrates the point.
For customers who anticipate even colder temperatures, we can make a special adaptation for their electric fencing whereby electric heaters are fitted into the enclosures.
Our Electric Perimeter Fencing
The reliability of our electric perimeter fence technology (as pictured above) is one of the reasons why it carries British Government Approval. It is currently installed in numerous British military bases and North American correctional facilities. Providing both a psychological and physical deterrent, the product can be fitted to an existing fence. This enables us to supply what we term ‘electric fence retrofit’ security.
