From Philadelphia to Alabama, Kuala Lumpur to Cairo and many places in between, our perimeter security systems bring their influence and protection to many parts of the world. The scale of supply that we have been privileged to establish in recent years has meant many thousands of miles of travelling for our Technical Director Andy Moon. One moment he might be in the United States discussing salvage yard security. The next moment he is back in our Head Office in Stirling giving technical training to installers. Then, before his feet barely touch the ground, he is called to a meeting in Malaysia where existing clients wish to discuss an important new-build project.
Electronic engineering and design is Andy’s main passion but he is also a keen photographer and one unexpected bonus of this worldwide travel has been the amazing photographic library he has built up, not so much of the security installations that he has supervised but of the rich and diverse landscapes, cities and cultures that he has encountered along the way. All the photographs have all been incidental to the priority of business, of course, but with each trip the library becomes ever more interesting.
Andy’s photographs demonstrate that not only do we live in a richly diverse world but that our business of perimeter security is indeed truly global. From iconic statues to amazing wildlife, world-famous buildings and historic sites to breathtaking landscapes and record-breaking technology, each photograph is remarkable in some way and has its own story to tell. Here are just three of the countries selected at random from Andy’s photographic library.
The United States Of America
These photographs were taken on two separate trips to discuss correctional facility security and the supply of our perimeter security systems for salvage yards.
These photographs were taken on separate trips to Malaysia, the most recent being to discuss residential security systems to protect the 2km perimeter of a new-build housing complex.
One of the most notable overseas trips Andy has ever undertaken was to visit the Pyramids of Giza where our Flexiguard perimeter intrusion detection system was installed. The actual perimeter length was one of the longest we have ever protected with our security technologies – over 13 kilometres (8 miles).
Few of our readers will have visited all these locations, so here are some Wikipedia pages with more detailed information:
