Security Case Study The William Wallace Monument in Stirling Scotland is an important historical monument and receives tens of thousands of visitors every year from all over the world. Following the popularity of the movie 'Braveheart' the number of visitors increased dramatically and it became necessary to maintain floodlighting. However, the large and powerful bulbs which were installed became the target of regular theft. Advanced Perimeter Systems Ltd were asked to provide the solution and we did - with our Flexiguard™ system. Attached to a metal grid laid over the top of the lights, the system if touched sends an alarm via telephone dealler to a central monitoring station. Since its installation, the floodlights have not been under threat and this historic monument illuminates the skyline at night for many miles around. |
