Case Studies - Lloyds of London
The LLoyds Bank building in Lime Street, London, which was built in 1986 has an exposed external lift shaft which also goes down into the basement. The bottom of the lift shaft is accessible from the street. The Bank were concerned that someone might throw something down the shaft, in particular a bomb. In order to detect items being thrown down the shaft a weld mesh grid was installed at the bottom and the Flexiguard™ system was installed on the mesh. An alarm is now generated if anything is thrown down the shaft. |
