Security Case Study - Solution for English China Clay
Back in 1994 we were approached by English China Clay to provide a perimeter security solution for one of their UK quarrying sites. Explosives for quarrying operations were kept on site and the stores obviously needed high security protection. However, the quarry was in a very remote part of Cornwall in SW England and accordingly there was no mains cabling laid to the site.
How could an effective security system be installed and operated without mains power? We came up with the answer - our Flexiguard security system operated by solar power. We supplied both the security system itself and the solar power equipment for each explosive store and in the process saved the client a great deal of time and money that otherwise would have been required for the laying of mains cable.
