Powys Castle

powys castlePowys Castle in Wales is a major tourist attraction and a key National Trust site. Therefore security is of prime importance.

Built in the 13th century, this is a truly medieval castle which sits on top of a rocky promontory above splendid garden terraces. In addition to its fine art collection, Powys Castle has some wonderful, valuable statues in its gardens.

Naturally, protection from possible damage to or theft of these wonderful statues was an important issue and Advanced Perimeter Systems Limited was able to come up with a ‘bespoke' security solution.

It was decided that our Flexiguard ™ Fence System was ideal for this type of security application. We devised and manufactured special security sensors which were then attached to the base of the statues. These in turn were connected to special fence analysers and an FG10 control situated in the main house for monitoring.

As a result, the castle's garden statues were secured without any visual detriment to the beautiful gardens and surroundings.
