Perimeter Protection For Port Facilities, Shipping Terminals
The first ever Electro-Fence™ system we ever supplied was installed for Associated British Ports who owned a site at Grimsby docks in the UK, leased to the Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG).
The site, over 75 acres in size, was used for storing imported cars from Germany and at any given time there would be thousands of cars on site, so perimeter security was a big issue.
At the time we were approached, they did have a sensor cable system already installed, supplied by one of our competitors, but it was not working properly; when it did work it generated many false alarms. So the client decided to have a new, different security system in operation – ours: the Electro-Fence™ . At 3m high, the system was installed on the weld mesh perimeter fence with a free standing Electro-Fence™ system dividing the site into two different areas. It proved to be the ideal solution to their perimeter security problems.
It's worth of note that the Site Manager calls our insulators 'self cleaning' as he found that any dirt that collects on them is washed away the first time it rains! |
