In our ‘Applications' pages dedicated to Power Stations and Utilities we mention the importance of effective security systems for EKP sites - Economic Key Points - sites that, if attacked or seriously damaged, would have a major impact on people's lives. Petrochemical plants, Oil Refineries and Gas Receiving Stations also come into this category and therefore require Government tested and approved security systems. BP - our security equipment is installed on their Forties UK oil pipeline. 4 pumping stations pump oil from the North Sea to the Grangemouth refinery; each station requires remote monitoring from a central control. The effectiveness of our Electro-Fence ™ system made it the ideal choice for perimeter protection and our MEGAsys ™ management system compliments the set-up with PC based control. All 4 stations are EKP sites.
