Security Systems For Hazardous Industries:
Explosives Stores, Paint Stores, Fireworks Stores
 Advanced Perimeter Systems Limited first developed a security system for hazardous areas some years ago, when new UK legislation was passed to ensure that all explosives stores were adequately protected with an alarm system.
Our system was subsequently installed in hundreds of explosives stores throughout the UK; new, steel explosives stores had the appropriate sensor cable installed by the manufacturers and older stores were refurbished and then fitted with our sensor cable.
Since then our hazardous area security system has been used for other industries which are potentially explosive or hazardous. These include:
• paint stores
• fireworks stores
English China Clays – they came to us with a particular problem due to explosives stores being scattered over a large 26 km site.
The size of the site prohibited the laying of cables and the stores were moved to different areas from time to time. We designed and built for them a highly specialized system which could be both solar powered and wireless. |
