Perimeter Protection For Gas Receiving Stations
| The importance of effective security systems and perimeter
security protection for EKP sites (sites that, if attacked
or badly damaged, would have a major impact on people's lives) cannot
be over-emphasised. In addition to petrochemical
plants, oil refineries and power
stations, gas receiving stations figure amongst
the EKP list. Government tested and approved systems are a necessity
and the systems we manufacture carry full approval from the British
Government enabling us to supply EKP sites confidently. A typical application for our perimeter security products at a gas receiving station would be where an inner and outer fence are constructed and our Electro-Fence™ system is installed on the outer part of the inner fence. This would technically be within a sterile area for detection purposes. There would also be CCTV on every zone around the perimeter. With this type of perimeter protection if the alarm is activated it's possible to detect and see exactly where the intrusion is and also use video motion detection on the CCTV cameras. |
