Security For Banks & Building Societies
Banks and building societies have many of their branches housed in buildings with floors above them occupied by other companies.
If these other companies do not have effective security systems and intruder deterrents then there is scope for intruders to break into these offices when empty, cut a hole in the floor and thus gain access to the bank or building society below.
Our Flexiguard ™ Voidtech system can be installed in the ceiling of any bank or building society to detect any possible intruders cutting through the floor above. Included in our clients for this specialized system is the Northern Rock Building Society in the UK.
Some banks operate a system of having small vibration sensors in their vaults. However, these can be easily and unnecessarily triggered by heavy traffic or road works outside the building. Our Flexiguard ™ Warehouse system is the ideal solution to this problem. It can be installed in the vault easily and set to tune out all outside interference.
Being a linear sensor it has equal sensitivity over its entire length which is a big advantage for this type of application.
Our security technology has been used in a variety of ways by the banking industry including:
- the protection of data centres - Flexiguard ™ is used on the buildings' perimeters
- the protection of bank vaults - a good example of this was where Flexiguard ™ was installed along with a perimeter fence for a major Scottish Bank in Edinburgh
- the protection of newly minted coins - freshly minted Euros needed to be stored for a time on pallets on a Portuguese airfield on behalf of the Portuguese Mint.
Our Flexiguard ™ was installed on the perimeter fence to protect the site and provided very effective security. Read our Euro security case study
